service! This service reuses your stock hardware, holding costs down, but makes a dramatic improvement in the flow of the ports
and thus the horsepower potential of the heads. It's a great match for bolt-in style cams made to work with the stock hardware, too.

He also had us machine the squish band to perfectly match the
15 degree Thunderstorm style

Sylvain Fleurent's Twin Cam Heads
Sylvain Fleurent is the lucky owner of this
Sledge Hammer prepared set of Twin Cam heads! What makes these heads special? In this case, to get the flow Sylvain
needs to reach his goals, we fitted his heads with
2.100" intake and 1.615" Sledge Hammer stainless steel high flow valves. Top of the line Sledge Hammer .700 lift springs
with Titanium retainers keeps things under control with his big .640 lift cams, and the heads have been
machined for compression releases as well to make sure his monster starts easily.

John Maley's XB Heads
How do you make big power with an
88ci motor? You get a set of heads like John's! These XB heads went through our top-of-the-line
SLEDGE HAMMER CNC Porting process to custom tailor the ports to his engine. Huge
Sledge 2.000" intake and 1.615" exhaust valves and .700 lift springs with Ti retainers were
matched to this beautiful port work and the package was topped off with
dual plugs and a 30 degree squish band cut to make the chamber as efficient as
possible. This is a superb set of heads and you can bet John's bike will be one
tire shredding monster. Congratulations John!

Corey Caddell's XL883 Heads
This beautiful set of 883 heads belongs to HAMMER customer Corey Caddell. They perform as good as they look, too, because they've been run
through the HAMMER PERFORMANCE SMASH CNC Porting process, which not only makes the ports work great, but also includes
our exclusive 1.760" intake and 1.530" exhaust 7mm stem Striker Valves. These big valves also made it possible
to size his chambers for the flat top pistons in his HAMMER PERFORMANCE bolt-on 1250 kit.
The tried and true SE .536 cams and
Sledge Hammer Pushrods handle the valve opening and closing duties.
It all adds up to one screamer of a Sportster, congrats Corey!

Alan is taking no prisoners! He started with a set of late model XL1200 heads and transformed them into this set of race-ready works of art by opting for the
HAMMER PERFORMANCE SLEDGE Porting treatment. This treatment uses our exclusive software to custom tailor the ports to
specifically to Alan's goals and then automatically generate the CNC program to make the cuts. These heads also got CNC machined 30 degree squish
bands for the ultimate in chamber efficiency, and were CNC machined for compression releases as well. Complementing all the CNC machine work, a set of extreme
duty oversized Sledge Hammer valves and springs with titanium retainers were fitted, proven components that maximize

Keith Goforth's XL883 Heads
Keith's heads got the SMASH CNC porting treatment with the big 1.760" intake and 1.530" exhaust valves, the largest valves you can put in 883 seats.
He chose the Striker 7mm stem valves with beehive springs gliding through our bronze manganese valve guides and viton valve stem seals.
Note the heavy unshrouding of the big valves. One of the advantages to these extra large valve sizes in 883 heads is they enlarge the chamber enough to use
flat top pistons instead of the usual reverse dome, which keeps the options open for future head upgrades.
Congrats, Keith, on the great set of heads!
